We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of our company's state and federal tax forms.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver high-quality tax services to our clients, including the preparation and review of tax returns, and managing consultants and junior staff.
- Provide innovative tax planning strategies and compliance expertise to clients, perform research, and prepare/review complex tax planning and compliance.
- Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services, including planning, research, and other mergers and acquisitions activities.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide industry knowledge and experience.
- Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets.
- Team with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the company's tax practice.
- Develop and mentor staff, providing leadership, counseling, career guidance, and guidance on technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Advanced degree in taxation or law is highly desirable.
- Active CPA license is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend.
- Proficiency in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation.
- Experience with CCH Axcess would be a plus.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage and grow strong client relationships.
- Experience with tax technology and data analytics tools is a plus.
