As a Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing client care for patients with chronic conditions and prolonged or incurable illnesses.
Key Responsibilities- Receives and provides adequate report on all patients
- Assesses, plans, and implements client care
- Receives and transcribes doctors orders
- Assists with physical examinations and makes rounds of assigned clients following guidelines of institution
- Administers oxygen, changes dressings, and inserts and irrigates urinary catheters
- Administers and documents medications given PO, IM, and intravenously
- Discontinues or hangs additional intravenous bottles and piggybacks
- Administers and draws blood
- Cares for Endotracheal, tracheostomy, and suctioning
- Obtains laboratory specimens
- Administers CPR and other emergency procedures as necessary
- RN/LPN license in good standing
- One year of experience in LTAC or ICU/Acute Care
- Graduate of accredited Nursing School
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS
