About the Role

Cleaver-Brooks is seeking a skilled Panel Shop Assembler to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for the assembly of control panels, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Productivity Levels: Meet or exceed plant productivity goals, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Adhere to Company Standards: Uphold the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards, promoting a culture of integrity and responsibility.
  • Accurate Labor Reporting: Properly report labor hours and activities, ensuring accurate tracking and analysis.
  • Interpret Instructions: Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
  • Assembly and Installation: Mount back panel devices and wire per schematics, lay out and wire control panels, and make terminations/connections.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test completed units, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Part Identification: Tag or mark identifying information on parts, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management.
  • Wiring and Assembly: Cut, trim, and strip wire, and position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Measurement and Inspection: Measure dimensions/clearance of parts, and inspect parts for flaws and imperfections.
  • Training and Development: Train others to install, use, or maintain equipment, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Education preferred.
  • Experience/Qualifications: Read and write English, able to read tape measure, lifting less than 25lbs, ability to use small hand tools, team player who can patiently work independently, detailed oriented and customer focused, simple computer skills to enter data and open files as required.
Working Conditions and Hazards

Employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear; the employee may periodically need to stoop down. There is no exposure to hazardous material or conditions. Work requires a few simple, but rapid, hand operations; work requires some lifting and pushing/pulling of material as required to count, sort, reconcile, prepare, put away or ship parts; average weight 10 pounds, parts/boxes of materials range from >1 pound up to 65 pounds. Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. 40" high and up to 50 lbs. overhead on a regular basis. Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, and squat. Must be able to read tape measure; read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating/procedure and maintenance instructions. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and work in temperature ranges corresponding with the outside ambient temperatures. Must be able and willing to work with and properly use all necessary and/or required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, and hard hats. Operates material handling equipment.
