Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Cardiology Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our cardiovascular care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support in an ambulatory setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients in an ambulatory setting, including assessing health status, completing nursing assessments, and establishing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.
- Notify physicians and/or Licensed Independent Providers (LIPs) of abnormal findings, and assist with specialized diagnostic procedures and therapeutic procedures.
- Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document health education for patients and families, and provide support to other nursing roles within the department.
- Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of recent experience as an RN.
- Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant, and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in cardiology.
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- May require some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
- Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
