Overview:
The Hilton Garden Inn of Morgantown is situated in a prime area, offering easy access to various shopping and dining options. This role is integral to ensuring a pleasant experience for our guests.
Compensation: $13.00 per hour
Benefits: Full-Time Associates are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and various employee discounts through our HR partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all special requests are accommodated when feasible.
- Handle reservations, including pre-registration and blocking rooms, while adhering to established rate structures and promotional strategies.
- Process guest transactions efficiently and courteously, following hotel policies regarding cash and credit handling.
- Address and resolve guest inquiries and complaints, providing information about hotel services, local attractions, and events.
- Cancel reservations in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization during downtime.
- Comply with Hilton brand standards and participate in training sessions.
- Gain insights into housekeeping operations to better understand room preparation.
- Assist in the laundry department as needed.
As part of your role, you may also be asked to perform the following supportive tasks:
- Inventory guest room keys and request re-keying as necessary.
- Support housekeeping and public area duties during peak times or staff shortages.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a hotel front desk role is preferred.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and respond positively to management direction.
- Skilled in managing challenging customer interactions and responding to their needs promptly.
