Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor sedated patients and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Prepare and maintain all dental equipment, instruments, and materials for use during procedures.
  • Escort patients to the operatory and assist with their preparation for treatment.
  • Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Assist the dentist with all dental treatments and procedures, including taking X-rays as needed.
  • Accurately chart patient data and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the Dental Treatment Coordinator to ensure patients are scheduled for proper treatment and appointments are managed efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict sterilization and disinfection protocols.
  • Perform daily and monthly maintenance on sterilization equipment and other dental instruments.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest dental procedures and technologies.
Requirements
  • CPR certification and ability to maintain certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, dentists, and other team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
