Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic services to couples, families, and groups.
  • Conduct mental health evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation, including progress notes and assessments.
  • Maintain a caseload of at least 25 one-hour client sessions weekly for full-time status.
  • Provide exceptional client service and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address mental health needs in the community.
  • Utilize creative interventions to assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
  • Advocate for clients by coordinating with case managers, families, and other professionals as necessary.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and ongoing training sessions.
Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Virginia clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) with the ability to practice independently.
  • Experience in conducting psychosocial assessments and developing treatment plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in working with diverse populations.
  • Experience with couples and families in a therapeutic setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in outpatient therapy for couples and families.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support services.
  • Certification in specialized treatment modalities for couples and families.
  • Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
