Position Summary

The Field Operations Supervisor is essential in assisting the District and Customer Service Managers with everyday activities. Key Responsibilities

  1. Operational Oversight:
  • Manage the daily functions of the propane distribution center.
  • Organize delivery timelines and oversee routing to guarantee prompt service.
  • Track and manage stock levels, ordering supplies as necessary.
  • Ensure all machinery and vehicles are maintained and in good working order.

Safety and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Guarantee adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding propane management and distribution.
  • Establish and uphold safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct routine safety training and meetings for staff.
  • Investigate and document any safety-related incidents or breaches.

Staff Management:

  • Oversee, train, and assess facility personnel, including drivers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Develop and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
  • Address and resolve personnel issues and conflicts.
  • Foster a positive workplace atmosphere and enhance team spirit.

Customer Relations:

  • Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service and communication.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

Financial Oversight:

  • Assist in formulating and managing the facility's budget.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure cost-efficient operations.
  • Prepare and review operational reports, providing recommendations for enhancements.

Logistical Management:

  • Oversee logistics for propane distribution, coordinating with suppliers and vendors.
  • Optimize delivery routes to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in propane distribution or a similar field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Certifications: Relevant safety and handling certifications as mandated by law.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in logistics and inventory management.
    • Understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
    • Ability to effectively manage customer service challenges.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
