Overview

The City of Kingman is a vibrant community that offers a wide range of recreational activities, including hiking, biking, and golf. Our Recreation Department is seeking a Part Time Sports Official to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Enforce playing rules and sports policies with participants and spectators.
• Work directly with the public and contribute to a fun and safe environment for friendly competition.
• Develop a positive relationship with participants and educate when necessary.
• Resolve participant conflicts and disputes with tact and diplomacy.
• Assure safety and sanitary environment and notify immediate supervisor of any problems and/or concerns.
• Set up and clean up facilities.
• Receive, store, and issue sports equipment and supplies.
• Assist with pre- and post-game logistics and administrative functions.

Requirements

• Minimum of age 18 to work in Adult Programs.
• High School Graduate or receipt of GED preferred.
• Prior officiating experience preferred.
• Prior experience in playing or coaching the sport(s) being officiated.

Preferred Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
