SMP Security Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch security services to our clients in the South Dakota region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level II Armed Security services for a FEMA contract in South Dakota, with a focus on the Joint Field Office in Sioux Falls and four Disaster Recovery Centers in North Sioux City, Canton, Viborg, and Mitchell.
  • Commit to working at a Disaster Recovery Center for the duration of its operation, with the possibility of being reassigned to other posts as needed.
  • Support the Sioux Falls Joint Field Office until the end of the deployment, with a minimum commitment of 60 days.

Shift Schedule:

  • Joint Field Office: 24/7 coverage, with three daytime officers and two overnight officers.
  • Disaster Recovery Centers: 7 days a week, with varying hours.

Logistics and Benefits:

  • Transportation to and from Sioux Falls is not provided; candidates must have reliable transportation.
  • Lodging is provided, with the possibility of double occupancy and opposing shifts.
  • Daily meals and incidentals are provided per site location.
  • Base pay is $30.00 per hour for non-LEO candidates, with a higher rate of $45.00 per hour for verifiable LEO experience (candidates must provide their own equipment).

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to pass a federal background check.
