Compensation: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour

Employment Type: Part-Time
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; ideally with one to three years of relevant experience or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
Position SummaryThe Personal Care Aide is tasked with providing essential services on behalf of Friendship Community Care. The aide is expected to comply with all standards set forth by Arkansas Medicaid and the organization. This includes successfully completing personal care training, maintaining a valid certification, adhering to assigned schedules, and ensuring proper documentation of care, reporting, and billing.
Key ResponsibilitiesEssential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Executing authorized tasks as directed by the supervising RN or QDDP.
- Keeping an accurate service log that must be completed at the time of service delivery.
- Providing necessary documentation for both scheduled and emergency services rendered.
- Obtaining prior approval for any unscheduled personal care tasks whenever feasible.
- Documenting the details of any emergency situations, including the nature of the emergency and actions taken.
- Completing 12 hours of additional training annually, as required by FCC.
- Monitoring the health status of assigned clients and documenting findings appropriately.
- Communicating effectively with the PC-RN and management staff as needed.
- Maintaining current certifications in CPR/First Aid and a valid health card.
- Ensuring a clean Motor Vehicle Report, as reviewed annually by Human Resources.
- Upholding confidentiality regarding all information related to Friendship Community Care and its clients, in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Education and ExperiencePreferred candidates will possess a High School diploma or GED, along with one to three years of relevant experience or training.
SkillsStrong reading and comprehension skills are required, along with the ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in small group settings.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data accurately.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in various formats.
Physical RequirementsThe physical demands of this position require regular use of hands, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities are also necessary.
Quality Assurance and ComplianceAdherence to all Quality Assurance and HIPAA procedures is mandatory, including maintaining accurate consumer records and progress notes.
