Sales Porter

Mike Anderson Chevrolet of Merrillville, a leading automotive dealership, is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Sales Porter to join their team. As a Sales Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the Sales Department.

• Oversee the vehicle delivery process, prioritizing the management of delivery boards and gas slips.
• Gas new vehicles to ensure they are ready for sale.
• Clean, vacuum, wash, and wax vehicles and tires as needed to maintain a high level of presentation.
• Inspect vehicles for damage when received from the service department.
• Assist with lot and showroom organization, as well as vehicle inventory management.
• Support new car check-ins and inspections, as well as dealer trade-ins.
• Assist with snow removal on the lot and for vehicles.

• Friendly and customer service-focused attitude.
• Reliable and able to work under pressure.
• Able to multitask and work efficiently.
• Able to walk and stand for long periods of time, as well as work outside.
• Able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Professional appearance is necessary.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Clean and valid driver's license is required.
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
