Motor Coach Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Coach Driver to join our team at The Fullington Auto Bus Company. As a Motor Coach Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain the motor coach to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Drive the motor coach to destination in accordance with federal regulations.
- Assist with boarding and discharge of passengers.
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Perform frequent loading and unloading of passenger luggage.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Promptly report all accidents/incidents involving driver, passengers, and/or company equipment.
- Accurately and effectively pre-plan all assigned routes/trips.
- Effectively, efficiently, and safely adjust planned route to account for changed circumstances.
- Maintain safe conditions at all times for passengers and motor coach.
- Maintain security of the motor coach and passengers.
- Verify that the motor coach has the necessary supplies to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Independently address appropriate maintenance on motor coach.
- Recognize issues that require maintenance on motor coach.
- Repairs non-major malfunctions and/or other issues.
- Interface professionally with customers, hotels, accommodations, co-workers, and the general public.
- Attend regularly scheduled drivers' meetings.
- Communicate with passengers in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License.
- Class A or B with a passenger endorsement.
- Air Brake test for the removal of the air brake restriction.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for insurance requirements.
- Must have good oral communication skills.
- Able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public.
- Must be able to follow instructions and take direction.
- Must have working knowledge of vehicle and safety control systems.
- Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance and transportation of passengers.
- Must be available to accommodate passenger movement and must be able to be away from home for extended periods of time.
- Driver will be subject to irregular work schedules, temperature and weather extremes, long trips, short notice of assignment of a trip, tight daily schedules, and delays en route and other stresses and fatigue related to driving a large commercial motor vehicle on crowded streets and highways in all kinds of weather including icy conditions.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
