Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States Draper Labs Full time
Job Description

Draper Labs is seeking a highly skilled Principal FPGA Design Engineer to join our digital design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge FPGA solutions with a focus on architecture, design, simulation, and test/support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital design, FPGA development, and high-level design and simulation tools. Experience with Xilinx Vivado and/or Microsemi Libero, digital simulation using Modelsim/Questa, and significant experience with design closure including timing, power, and area for SWaP constrained designs are highly desirable.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures. Your expertise in digital signal processing algorithms, high-speed interfaces like SERDES, PCIe, DDR2/3/4, LVDS, and experience with scripting languages will be valuable assets to our team.

As a Principal FPGA Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to innovate and drive solutions to complex problems, develop requirements, propose ways forward when customer requirements are unclear or incomplete, and adapt appropriately to changes in requirements.

We offer a collaborative environment that inspires the cross-fertilization of ideas necessary for true innovation. Our multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists work together to deliver successful and usable solutions to national challenges.

Draper Labs is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer. We understand the value of diversity and its impact on a high-performance culture.

Apply now to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge FPGA solutions.
