Key Responsibilities:

  • Aggregate various data sources to extract essential information.
  • Summarize external market data.
  • Analyze competitor and ISO information.
  • Review competitor data from financial statements.
  • Generate and distribute sales and loss reports.
  • Prepare loss development reports by line of business and coverage.
  • Conduct data calls.
  • Manage form, rule, and rate revision filings, as well as new product filings.
  • Engage with the Department of Insurance and actuarial consultants.
  • Maintain filing history records.
  • Create Excel rate sheets for premium calculations and suggest minimum premiums.
  • Advise underwriters on rating concerns.
  • Conduct IT testing for new products and rate revisions.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of fees charged by external vendors.
  • Assess various administrative expenses.
  • Prepare documentation and liaise with stakeholders for new business licensing.
  • Train new hires on product offerings.
  • Educate underwriters on forms and rates.
  • Support audit operations related to policy management and statistics.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Over 3 years of experience in property and casualty insurance.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate skills in SAS coding.
  • Able to interpret CAB and financial statements.
  • Familiarity with SNL and ISO websites.
  • Ability to interpret IBNR documents and create loss development factors.
