  • Administers standardized assessments and surveys, providing interpretation of results to students and their families.
  • Acts as a champion for all students, offering guidance that fosters personal growth, self-awareness, and maturity.
  • Maintains accurate student records while ensuring confidentiality is upheld.
  • Provides essential student information to colleges and potential employers in accordance with policy guidelines.
  • Supports students through the college application process and provides financial aid information.
  • Assists students in formulating educational and career plans.
  • Offers information on tutoring, summer programs, dual credit opportunities, and more.
  • Coordinates college fairs and organizes college visits.
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders to address and reduce achievement gaps.
  • Provides professional leadership to cultivate a positive learning environment.
  • Conducts counseling sessions with individuals or small groups addressing academic, career, and personal/social issues.
  • Helps students create actionable plans to achieve their educational, career, and personal/social objectives.
  • Consults with school-based teams to facilitate appropriate placement decisions that enhance student success.
  • Engages with teachers, administration, support staff, community organizations, and parents regarding student needs.
  • Offers support to educators in delivering counseling-related curriculum.
  • Collaborates with school and community organizations to expand student resources.
  • Seeks necessary resources to meet school objectives.
  • Guides groups of students in developing educational plans and addressing personal/social growth challenges.
  • Analyzes critical data such as grades, test scores, attendance, and graduation rates to inform strategies.
  • Utilizes data to create initiatives that positively influence student outcomes.
  • Adheres to national, state, and district standards for professional school counselors.
  • Works alongside middle school counselors to ensure continuity of services.
  • Complies with ethical and legal standards in the counseling profession.
  • Employs appropriate technology to enhance counseling services.
  • Performs additional related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Master's degree from an accredited institution in Education and/or Counseling.
  • State certification as a School Counselor or eligibility for certification in the relevant state.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a secondary education setting.
WORK SCHEDULE:

• 8-hour shifts

• Monday to Friday

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree (Required)

EXPERIENCE:

• Teaching experience: 1 year (Preferred)

LANGUAGE:

• Proficiency in English (Required)

CERTIFICATION:

• Teaching Certification (Preferred)

WORK LOCATION: In-person
