We are seeking a reliable and skilled translator to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will translate a variety of materials while ensuring the highest level of accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural relevance. In addition to language translation, this role requires computer proficiency and the ability to work with digital content, including flyers, brochures, graphs, and images.

• Translate documents, including legal, educational, medical, and technical materials, maintaining the original material's content, context, and style.
• Translate and format digital content such as flyers, brochures, graphs, and images, requiring proficiency in relevant software.
• Review and proofread translations to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Follow specific client specifications and guidelines.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency and adherence to project timelines.

• Minimum 1 year of professional translation/interpreting experience.
• Documented proficiency in Creole and English (candidates may be required to complete a proficiency test if documentation is unavailable).
• Proficiency in reading, listening, and comprehension of Creole with the ability to transcribe, summarize, and gist.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with publishing software (e.g., Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign).
• Familiarity with image editing tools is preferred.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.
