Job Summary

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for supervising our baking staff and managing all bakery operations. This includes ordering supplies, maintaining accurate records, staffing, and ensuring that orders are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control: Inspect bakery items to ensure that established standards on quality, uniformity, and aesthetic appeal are met.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that the bakery is adequately stocked with quality baking ingredients and supplies.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that baking tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Leadership: Delegate responsibilities and supervise business operations.
  • Training and Development: Maintain knowledge and skills for shift lead, baker, and driver positions and fill in as necessary. Train, motivate, and coach employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers.
  • Customer Service: Resolve conflicts or complaints from customers and employees.
  • Store Operations: Monitor store activity and ensure it is properly provisioned and staffed.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze information and processes and develop more effective or efficient processes and strategies.
  • Store Appearance: Maintain a clean, tidy business, ensuring that signage and displays are attractive.
  • Reporting: Generate reports and present information to upper-level managers or other parties.
  • Compliance: Ensure staff members follow company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Management Experience: Previous managerial experience is required.
  • Food Industry Experience: Previous experience in the food and restaurant industry is preferred.
  • Food Handler's License: A food handler's license is required.
