Position Overview:

The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiologist to join our esteemed faculty team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a renowned cohort of medical professionals, including surgeons, cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular specialists, to drive remarkable advancements in patient care and impact lives statewide.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in the subspecialty of choice, with the option to focus on clinical duties, administrative work, or a combination of both
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement clinical programs, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and advancing medical knowledge
  • Participate in educational activities, including teaching and mentoring residents and fellows, to ensure the next generation of healthcare professionals is well-equipped to provide exceptional care
  • Engage in administrative tasks, such as developing policies and procedures, to support the smooth operation of the department

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Valid medical licensure and Board Certification in Cardiology
  • Experience in a clinical or academic setting, with a strong track record of research, education, and administrative accomplishments
