Job Summary:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for nuclear medicine procedures, furnishing diagnostic information, and operating scintillation detectors to produce images. The ideal candidate will have two years of experience as a registered/certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and hold valid ARRT licensure in nuclear medicine or certification by NMTCB.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for nuclear medicine procedures
Operates scintillation detectors to produce images and measures concentration of radioisotopes in specified body areas
Assays the radioactivity of newly arrived radiopharmaceuticals and measures the radioactive dosage prescribed for patients
Follows all state and NRC regulations pertaining to the field of Nuclear Medicine

Requirements:

Two years' experience as a registered/certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Valid and active ARRT licensure in nuclear medicine or certification by NMTCB
CPR required

Work Environment:

Day shift
On call
No travel required
Located at Bristol Regional Medical Center
