Position Overview:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a crucial role in delivering advanced nursing care within the realm of occupational health. This position requires a skilled professional who is not only a Registered Nurse but also possesses advanced clinical education and training to address complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in an occupational health setting.
  • Deliver direct patient care and health education to individuals, families, and healthcare staff.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Recent relevant experience in areas such as urgent care, family practice, or occupational medicine.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in workers' compensation or occupational health settings.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the appropriate state board.
  • DEA registration or proof of application.
  • Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner Certification within the specified timeframe.
