Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Dental Supervisor, RDA-Clinic Coordinator, Dentist, or Chief Dental Officer, this role performs various duties as a Dental Assistant, including assistance to the dentist and dental hygienist during treatment procedures, and other functions as legally allowed in California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting up and preparing patients for dental procedures
  • Assisting with medical history verification, blood pressure, and pulse checks
  • Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Providing post-operative instructions and teaching oral hygiene strategies
  • Developing and maintaining infection control protocols
  • Keeping operatories stocked and sterile
  • Maintaining dental equipment
  • Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts
  • Applying topical agents and removing post-extraction and periodontal dressings
  • Placing and removing elastic orthodontic bands
  • Other dental or chairside duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year paid professional dental assisting work experience
  • Fluency in English and any Asian language
  • Certifications, Licenses & Registrations: Passage of Radiation Health and Safety examination, Passage of Infection Control examination, Valid X-Ray Certificate, Current CPR card
