Extrusion Operator

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team at Marmon Utility LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating the thermoplastic extruder line and ensuring that all products meet or exceed internal and customer specifications.

• Operate the thermoplastic extruder line, consistently meeting or exceeding internal and customer specifications in a safe manner with minimum scrap.
• Set up and operate the entire line, selecting and installing appropriate extruder tooling and associated line components needed to manufacture varying cable designs.
• Monitor the supply of raw material to ensure continuous operation and perform routine maintenance on the welder used to weld conductors together.
• Set up and operate the pay-off and take-up equipment, taking preventive measures to minimize downtime and ensure quality product.
• Generate product identification tags and maintain accurate records of all pertinent information required by Hendrix, including line quality records.

• Must have a conceptual understanding of the extrusion process and be able to read micrometers and other related precision tools.
• Ability to weld conductor and perform shop arithmetic, as well as read and follow written instructions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team structure.
• Must be able to troubleshoot basic line problems and continuously pay attention to details.

This is a night shift position, Monday - Thursday, 7 PM - 7 AM. Training shift is Monday - Thursday, 7 AM - 7 PM or Friday - Sunday 7am -7pm. We offer shift differential and training completion pay after successful completion of training.
