Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Marine Engineer (Assistant/Associate Professor) to join our team at the Maritime Administration. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for developing and conducting educational courses and programs within the Department of Marine Engineering at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach marine engineering courses to undergraduate and graduate students
  • Conduct research and publish papers in marine engineering and related fields
  • Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits
  • Participate in departmental and institutional service activities
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience at a college or university
  • Experience in marine engineering or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Marine or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in research and publication
  • Experience in academic administration
