Job Title: Behavior Analyst

At the University of Florida, we are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Analyst to join our team. As a Behavior Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing behavior-analytic services to children and youth with a range of behavior disorders and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct student behavioral observations, FBAs, and other assessments in classrooms and other settings through the application of evidence-based principles, methods, and procedures for understanding the function of behavior and designing, implementing, and evaluating skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction systems.
  • Deliver pertinent, evidence-based consultation and instructional support to educators, other school/district personnel, and parents for struggling preK-12th grade students with a wide range of behavioral and learning challenges and related conditions/concerns.
  • Consult and collaborate with school/district personnel and parents to facilitate implementation of evidence-based interventions to improve the academic engagement, learning, skill development, and readiness for post-secondary transition of at-risk preK-12th grade students.
  • Analyze, interpret, and report student data and use student data to assess response to interventions (RtI) within an MTSS framework.
  • Write FBA/other assessment/behavioral observation and consultation reports that include students' educational histories, prior evaluation findings, and response to intervention data.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a health-related area and four years of experience.
  • BCBA board certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions for K-12 students with learning, neurocognitive, and related difficulties impacting school functioning and academic progress.
  • Strong working knowledge of Florida's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and proficiency in analyzing, accurately interpreting, and reporting student data.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in applied behavior analysis from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) at a doctoral level (BCBA-D).
  • At least three (3) years' experience in a Florida school district.
  • Valid driver's license and be able to drive within the north-central Florida service region.
