Job Summary

This Critical Care Specialist position plays a vital role in our neonatal and pediatric transport team. The successful candidate will provide critical care during emergency ground or air transport of acute patients. This role requires the use of advanced respiratory care equipment, performing life-saving procedures, and maintaining thorough patient documentation while collaborating with a healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize transport and critical care equipment in a competent manner.
  • Perform or assist with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) skills during patient care, including intubation, PIV placement and maintenance, naso/oral/pharyngeal suctioning, application of advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Develop a plan of care based on patient status and diagnosis and provide respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policy and procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years' critical care experience.
  • State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy Pediatrics (AAP).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Essentials - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is around $ $73,000 per year, plus benefits such as paid parental leave, flexible payment options, and upfront tuition coverage through FlexPath Funded.
