Patriot Capital Sales and Credit Team Member

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales and Credit Associate to join our team at Patriot Capital Corporation - Equipment Financing Specialists. As a Sales and Credit Associate, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and ensuring timely credit approvals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to customers, sales, credit, funding, and documentation teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals, while ensuring efficient process time effectiveness from credit approvals to bookings.
  • Strengthen relationships with customers, vendors, and third-party affiliates.
  • Assist in the development of promotion programs and other projects as assigned.
Sales and Credit Functions:
  • Assist sales representatives with day-to-day tasks while they are traveling, attending trade shows, or meeting with customers.
  • Build relationships with customers of large/multiple accounts and jobbers, serving as a second point of contact for loan-related requests in conjunction with their respective sales representatives.
  • Directly involved in each loan request, owning the process from start to finish, working with a sense of urgency, and driving each deal to closure while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in keeping all deals moving through the sales representative's deal pipeline by creating and maintaining reports, identifying stagnant deals, and determining the next steps needed for progressing to closure.
Credit and Documentation:
  • Collaborate with credit analysts, customers, and funding partners when needed to facilitate timely credit approvals.
  • Work directly with customers to obtain necessary information as required by company policies and/or funding partners to ensure all proper approvals are reached.
  • Assist in the process of producing loan documents and collaborating with customers to solve any issues delaying the process.
  • Assist in obtaining various documents from third-party affiliates, such as insurance from the customer's agent or invoices from vendors.
Education and Experience:
  • College degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficient with PC and associated software.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excels in a team environment while owning their area of responsibility.
  • Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding/ability to manage the impact of the overall loan process from entering applications to booking deals.
  • Ability to travel (up to 15%) around 3-4 overnights per month.
