Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Vascular Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This 24-bed unit specializes in vascular surgery, telemetry, and renal/pancreas transplant patients.
Responsibilities:- Assess and admit patients, round checks, administer medications, and communicate with family members.
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with vascular surgeries, including aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, femoral bypass surgeries, and amputations.
- Work collaboratively with the renal/pancreas transplant team to provide care to patients in the outpatient transplant center.
- Participate in the 11-week Transition to Practice program, which focuses on orientation, knowledge support, and skill acquisition for practice in IMC areas.
- Be part of a comprehensive 6-month residency program to support your transition to practice.
- RN License
- BSN or MSN preferred
- BLS within 90 days of hire
