Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting financial transactions to maintain a record of our company's financial position and results of operations in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Key Responsibilities- Reviews and analyzes cost center reports and financials detail to resolve discrepancies
- Prepares and analyzes financial data for internal and external auditors, parent companies, and tax preparers
- Backs up the Senior Accountant and Controller
- Prepares cash flow forecasts monthly
- Prepares financial forecasts quarterly or as needed
- Prepares annual budget
- Performs month-end close duties, including reporting
- Manages multiple improvement projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- At least 10 years of experience required, of which 5 years should be in cost accounting in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Prefer 2 years prior experience with forecasting and modeling
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) as well as international financial reporting standards (IFRS) required
- Proficiency in Excel and Macros
- Prior SAP experience, strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills using the English language in both verbal and written forms required
- A high degree of competence with the ability to work accurately, attention to detail, and the ability and flexibility to manage multiple projects while maintaining professionalism
- Indirectly supervises accounting team by mentoring the Senior Accountant and Accountant or supervising team when Controller is not available
- The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000
