About the Job
The Good Samaritan Society offers a part time position for a certified nursing assistant to work in long term care. As a caregiver, you will provide basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents. You will also assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment, as well as provide range of motion and passive exercises.
Responsibilities
- Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents
- Assist with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care
- Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises
Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required
- Minimum age of 16 years old
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
Salary and Benefits
$19-$25.50 per hour plus benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, work/life balance benefits, and a generous time off package.
