Housekeeping Attendant

The Room Attendant is a key member of our housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing exceptional service to all guests.

• Plan, prioritize, and organize tasks to ensure efficient completion of all work assigned.
• Perform job functions with minimal supervision, working cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Keep work areas clean and neat, free from dust and litter, and load carts with supplies needed to perform duties.
• Clean all guest rooms as assigned within the required time limit, including changing bed linens, vacuuming carpet, dusting and cleaning furniture, and thoroughly cleaning the bathroom area.
• Replace room amenities, empty wastebaskets, and ensure guest room setup complies with standards.
• Report any discrepancies in room status, why room was not completed, etc. to Inspector, and turn in all Lost & Found items following standard procedures.
• Fill out assignment sheets as each room is completed, and ensure all equipment is in operation order and all supplies are up to par.
• Interact with guests to answer questions and provide necessary services, referring guests to other staff members if needed.
• Be familiar with the operating procedures of all other areas of the hotel, cooperating fully and in a friendly manner with those areas to assure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure areas are free of safety hazards and perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure total guest satisfaction.

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
