About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Peri Operative Care Unit (POCU) at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.

This is a part-time position with varied shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends. As a POCU nurse, you will work closely with patients undergoing preoperative and Phase 2 recovery care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans.
  • Coordinate patient-centered care across the continuum to support successful transitions to other healthcare settings or home communities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current IL RN license and BSN degree preferred; ADN acceptable with agreement for nurses with less than 12 months of experience to enroll in BSN completion program.
  • Minimum one year of telemetry and/or surgical nursing experience preferred.
  • AHA CPR certification required and ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and different shifts.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
