Job Title: Enterprise Information Security Specialist

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Information Security Specialist will be responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security technologies to safeguard the institution's information resources. This position will also train and develop team members, lead and/or manage complex technical projects, and work with other departments and areas at tactical and strategic levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with and may lead the assessment, testing, validation, and documentation of the current security technology infrastructure.
  • Provide recommendations that significantly improve the institution's threat prevention, detection, and response capabilities.
  • Configure and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware to protect enterprise-wide mission-critical systems and information resources.
  • Assist in the assessment, planning, development, and documentation of the enterprise-level IT security strategy and architecture.
  • Provide support to team members and other staff regarding system and data safeguard best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in cybersecurity, computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus seven years related full-time paid experience.
  • Professional certifications such as SANS, ISACA, ISC2, or other relevant security technology certifications may be preferred qualifications.
  • Experience with relevant frameworks and regulations, such as NIST RMF, TAC 202, PCI DSS, HIPAA, FERPA, STIG/SCAP, GDPR, ISO 27000/27001, ISO 31000, FedRAMP, TX-RAMP, SOC 2, and/or HITRUST.
  • Experience with next-gen firewalls, IDS, IPS, SIEM, PAM, sandboxes, encryption, endpoint protection, NAC, or other security technologies.
