Position Overview:
Customer Value Partners is in search of a Board Certified Physician specializing in Oncology Services to deliver expert care and support within our healthcare initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care as a consultant in both outpatient clinics and inpatient settings, while participating in the on-call schedule for the Radiation Oncology Service.
- Engage in strategic planning for the Radiation Oncology Service.
- Contribute to local administrative, management, quality assurance, and other relevant assignments, meetings, or committees.
- Participate in regular peer review processes.
- Maintain vigilance regarding patient conditions and disorders, ensuring prompt attention to any adverse reactions.
- Document and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure timely completion of daily clinic notes with precise documentation and coding of services provided.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks to patients, staff, and self, in accordance with departmental and VA radiation safety procedures.
- Provide compassionate and accurate treatment to patients.
- Report unsafe conditions or practices to the Chief immediately.
- Comply with all safety and health standards, regulations, and work practices, utilizing appropriate protective equipment as necessary.
- Engage in quality assurance activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting on trends and changes based on findings.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited institution in the United States or Canada.
- Must hold Board Certification in Oncology.
- Familiarity with contemporary standards of care, practices, and procedures in oncology.
