The Customer Assurance (CA) division is dedicated to making informed decisions that impact a diverse range of stakeholders. We design and implement services for Buyers, Sellers, Vendors, and other users, ensuring that our platform remains a safe and reliable space for commerce.

Our mission is to support our partners in their endeavors while navigating complex trade-offs and competing priorities. Achieving this at scale is only possible through advanced technology and scientific methods.

As part of the Core ML Services Engineering team within CA, we are at the forefront of creating innovative ML services that set industry benchmarks. Our solutions facilitate accelerated AI and ML advancements through fully automated and intelligent ML model development and feature engineering.

We are responsible for building integrated ML orchestration environments that enhance the speed, quality, and efficiency of ML initiatives across CA and Amazon.

Our approach combines leading AI technologies, including AWS AI and open-source frameworks, while also innovating proprietary solutions to stay ahead of potential threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop large-scale, high-performance ML systems for managing data, features, models, and rules.
  • Collaborate closely with ML scientists to understand requirements and deliver cutting-edge solutions that uphold customer trust.
  • Take ownership of systems and ensure the delivery of stable and reliable services to clients and internal teams.
  • Drive innovation by generating new ideas and developing comprehensive features across the entire ML pipeline.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
  • 5+ years of programming experience in at least one programming language.
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of both new and existing systems.
  • Experience mentoring, leading, or managing an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

Our compensation structure reflects labor costs across various U.S. markets, with base pay ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 depending on geographic location and other job-related factors.
