Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bus Driver to join our team at the Irving Independent School District. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, adhering to established schedules and traffic laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a school bus, adhering to established schedules and traffic laws.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus, ensuring the well-being of students.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance driving skills and knowledge of district policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on the bus, reporting any issues or concerns to the Transportation Department.
Requirements:
  • Valid Texas Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a Class A or B endorsement.
  • 20-hour Bus Safety Certificate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
