In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our physicians and healthcare providers by managing various patient care tasks and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating phone triage and coordinating appointment schedules.
- Assisting with prior authorization processes.
- Conducting antenatal testing as required.
- Preparing and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies for patient appointments.
- Reviewing patient records to confirm that all laboratory tests are current and all orders are fulfilled.
- Guiding patients throughout the facility and collecting samples and vital signs.
- Documenting all vital signs accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Engaging with patients in the examination room to document their concerns and reasons for visits.
- Ensuring that all laboratory requisitions are completed with the appropriate diagnosis codes and billing information.
- Following up on physician directives and educating patients regarding their care plans and follow-up procedures.
Qualifications:
- A valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Maryland or a multi-state license is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a service-oriented environment. Experience or interest in the healthcare sector, particularly in OB-GYN, is highly desirable.
