Position Overview:
Pawnee County Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Finance. This role is essential in ensuring the financial health of our critical access facility while maintaining a supportive small-town atmosphere.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting is essential, with 3-5 years in leadership roles preferred.
- Proficiency in budgeting, productivity analysis, and cost reduction strategies is advantageous.
- Experience in revenue cycle management is mandatory.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards is necessary.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Candidates should exhibit strong personal traits including commitment, motivation, teamwork, integrity, and respect for others.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the functions of reimbursement, budgeting, patient accounting, registration, general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, coding, credentialing, and health information management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and agency regulations and standards.
- Lead the development and monitoring of capital and operational budgets aligned with strategic objectives.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to the financial operations of the organization.
- Collaborate with IT to implement and maintain plans for successful Interoperability initiatives.
- Foster positive relationships with organizational leadership.
- Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and effective workforce.
- Manage employee relations to cultivate a positive work environment, enhance retention, and improve communication.
