Daily Responsibilities:

The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer will oversee Engineering Operations within the facility, focusing on risk management and mitigation, as well as corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor oversight, and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage on-site shift technicians, senior technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Set performance benchmarks, perform analyses, and generate reports on all facets of facility operations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with IT managers and other leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and enhance safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Oversee both routine and emergency services for critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, and building monitoring systems.
  • Contribute to the design and construction of new facilities as needed.
  • Assist in initiatives aimed at improving current facility efficiency.
  • Manage asset and inventory control.
  • Support recruitment efforts.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and meet all customer requirements.
