Job Overview

Position Summary: This role is a non-exempt position focused on coordinating surgical appointments for patients in a busy medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Arrange surgical procedure appointments for patients and communicate details via phone. If unable to reach the patient, send notification letters to the registered home address.
  2. Utilize a computerized scheduling system to align physician availability with patient preferences regarding dates and times.
  3. Maintain timely updates throughout the day for any changes, including cancellations or new appointments.
  4. Efficiently fill open appointment slots by assigning patients who are awaiting scheduling.
  5. Collaborate with the ASC Nurse Manager to address any patient-related scheduling concerns or system issues.
  6. Apply customer service techniques to interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED is required; a minimum of one year of experience in a medical scheduling role is preferred.
