Position Summary: This role is a non-exempt position focused on coordinating surgical appointments for patients in a busy medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange surgical procedure appointments for patients and communicate details via phone. If unable to reach the patient, send notification letters to the registered home address.
- Utilize a computerized scheduling system to align physician availability with patient preferences regarding dates and times.
- Maintain timely updates throughout the day for any changes, including cancellations or new appointments.
- Efficiently fill open appointment slots by assigning patients who are awaiting scheduling.
- Collaborate with the ASC Nurse Manager to address any patient-related scheduling concerns or system issues.
- Apply customer service techniques to interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED is required; a minimum of one year of experience in a medical scheduling role is preferred.
