Job Overview

As a key member of the Hubell team, the EHS Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing effective environmental health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

A Day in the Life

  • Advise management on environmental health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Company EHS requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely safety and environmental reports, both internal and external.
  • Design and implement site-specific EHS policies, procedures, and programs to meet regulatory standards and corporate requirements.
  • Manage safety and environmental regulatory processes, trainings, and programs to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs to address regulatory standards and corporate policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct regular EHS inspections and participate in internal auditing programs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and coordinate emergency response activities to ensure preparedness and response to potential hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to EHS activities, including accident and hazard investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs for injured employees.
  • Inspect workplaces to identify and mitigate hazards, and maintain Hazard Communications Programs.
  • Champion permitting and regulatory compliance efforts for new processes and equipment installations.
  • Manage hazardous waste generation, storage, and shipment in accordance with RCRA regulations.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Degree required; prefer BS in environmental or chemical engineering, safety management, occupational and environmental health science, industrial risk management, or related field.
