Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at Advanced Dermatology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient information, including medical history, vital signs, and purpose of visit or treatment.
  • Support patient care by assisting providers during examinations, preparing specimens, and performing basic laboratory tests.
  • Enter patient information into the Electronic Health Record (EMA) system.
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports.
  • Assist during medical examinations, as allowable by law.
  • Perform general office duties, including answering telephones, taking dictation, and completing insurance forms.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and complete required administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Medical assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience working as a medical assistant, with dermatology experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
