The Paraprofessional - LEAP Program is a vital role within Calvary Chapel Of Costa Mesa, supporting the educational and spiritual growth of students. As a key member of the LEAP team, you will work closely with the LEAP teacher to establish guidelines and standards, ensuring a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Embody the Vision and Values of Calvary Chapel Of Costa Mesa, upholding the Statement of Faith and serving as a positive example to staff, students, and parents.
- Provide Support and Guidance to students in a respectful, helpful manner, assisting the LEAP teacher in establishing guidelines and standards.
- Develop Instructional Materials and prepare lessons in various learning modes for different age levels, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the LEAP Teacher to accomplish the objectives of the students' Game Plan, utilizing knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to support students' needs.
- Minimum of Three Years of elementary teaching or classroom aide experience, working with students with various needs.
- Preferably Certified or knowledgeable regarding Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The Paraprofessional - LEAP Program requires regular talking and hearing, frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
