Shift: 12 Hour Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
Experience: Minimum 1 year of general nursing experience
License: Registered Nurse
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, ONS Chemotherapy Certification (preferred)
Must-Have:
- EPIC experience for first-time travelers
- Comfortability to work with MedSurg assignments
- IMC/PCU level experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, titratable vasoactive drips, proficient in chest ports
Job Description:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a mixed acuity unit with Intermediate Care, Tele, and MedSurg.
- Collaborate with a supportive team to deliver exceptional care to oncology patients, including surgical, new diagnosis, and oncology complications.
- Manage patients receiving prolonged chemotherapy infusions and handle medical overflow, intermediate level of care with telemetry monitoring.
- Participate in facility and unit orientation, including online education and unit-specific training with a qualified preceptor.
- Float to any adult inpatient unit, such as Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, and Observation as needed.
- Meet compliance with monthly audits for Pre/Post pain scoring, achieving at least 90% compliance.
Requirements:
- RN with a minimum of 1 year of general nursing experience
- EPIC experience for first-time travelers
- Comfortability to work with MedSurg assignments
