Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our clients, who are children and adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral health needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our clients, including administering medications, conducting medical check-ups, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with clients' families and medical staff, and contribute to a therapeutic environment that promotes the safety and well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to clients, including administering medications and conducting medical check-ups
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Communicate effectively with clients' families and medical staff
  • Contribute to a therapeutic environment that promotes the safety and well-being of clients
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Associate's Degree or Diploma required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Florida required; Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida preferred
  • 2 years of nursing experience or previous experience working in a group home or residential facility with the DJJ, IDD, or Psychiatric population preferred
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical screenings, including a drug test, physical, and TB test
