Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at KLA. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and troubleshooting technical equipment problems at customer sites. Your primary goal will be to ensure that equipment is functioning optimally and improving customer production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer sites
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system level problems at customer sites
  • Represent the company to the customer and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assure operational quality of system equipment and coordinate actions with customers to minimize downtime
  • Provide assistance to Installation Engineers in resolving problems
  • Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and provide documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring problems
  • Build positive relationships with customers and increase customer satisfaction by resolving sophisticated requests and issues
  • Contribute to the capturing, re-use, collaboration, and improvement of knowledge using available systems
  • Develop and handle return materials authorization (RMA) processes for ensuring customer returns, exchanges, service, and repairs are done with speed and accuracy
  • Execute technical critical issues with detailed problem statements and pass-down to work with system engineering technical teams in customer sites

Requirements:

  • Master's Level Degree; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years; Associate's Level Degree and work experience of 5 years
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of equipment troubleshooting and repair
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
