Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Chef to join our team at Enlivant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef with the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring compliance with state regulations and Enlivant's food service standards.
  • Coordinate and prepare meals for the community and events, including resident food preferences and dietary needs.
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards, ensuring all work and storage areas are clean, safe, and properly arranged.
  • Ensure compliance with Enlivant's mission, vision, and values, upholding the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Exhibit good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Experience in dining services, preferably in a Chef, Cook, Sous Chef, or Dietary Aide role.
  • Meet or be eligible to obtain all applicable state requirements and certifications.
  • Basic written and oral English communication skills.
  • Care and compassion for serving seniors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years' experience in hospitality dining.
  • Experience in senior living, restaurant, or banquet settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications.
