Job Summary

GPAc is seeking a skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex machinery and equipment used in manufacturing and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Maintenance: Place, align, level, and attach equipment on production lines based on specifications, blueprints, or other documents, ensuring compliance and appropriate tolerances.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot malfunctions and equipment failures, and perform basic maintenance and repairs.
  • Electrical Systems: Assemble, test, and maintain electrical equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
  • Disassembly and Repair: Dismantle, repair, replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
  • Mounting and Completion: Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals; basic hydraulic skills; understanding of production equipment and ability to use stick, cutting, arc gouging, and wire welding equipment.
  • Safety Protocols: Understanding of safety protocols, Lock Out/Tag Out processes, and other mechanical safety processes.
  • Communication and Time Management: Ability to communicate effectively; ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving and Relationship-Building: Ability to problem solve proactively; ability to create strong relationships.
  • Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Ability to be detail-oriented; strong organizational skills.
