Job Summary

The selected candidate will work for Stony Brook University's Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine as a full-time, patient-focused clinician in an ambulatory Patient Centered Medical Home setting that is collegial and team-based. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the teaching mission, research projects, and collaborate on innovative evidence-based patient care programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting
• Participate in the teaching mission of the department
• Contribute to research projects and evidence-based patient care programs
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• MD (or foreign equivalent)
• DEA Certification
• Board Certified or eligible in Family Medicine
• New York State Licensed or eligible
• Skilled in the full scope of care rendered by Family Medicine physicians
• Graduate of an Accredited Family Medicine Residency Training Program

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of family medicine experience
• Experience working in a patient-centered medical home environment
• Interest in teaching residents and medical students
