Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and direct subordinate nurses in quality assurance and utilization review activities.
- Participate in clinical risk identification, strategy planning, and risk reduction.
- Receive and transmit physician's instructions regarding resident care.
- Oversee delegation of nursing and therapeutic procedures to other professionals and paraprofessional associates.
- Maintain regular patient rounds to assess residents' physical conditions and behaviors.
- Ensure proper documentation of treatment and nursing observations.
- Facilitate occurrence investigations and timely reporting to nursing administration.
- Ensure infection control standards and biohazard waste procedures are met.
- Current R.N. license required with experience in long term care or geriatric population preferred.
- CPR certification.
- At least three years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience.
- Ability to plan and direct the department, coordinating with other departments.
